No dumplings were harmed in this production. I ate them all.
This video is inspired by my first day in school Ireland after immigrating at 8 years old.
In China we've never heard of the concept of "Bringing lunch to school" so she packed me an entire 4-tier insulated thermos with soup, rice, meat and Greens. It would have taken up the literal entire lunch table to lay out. I was embarrassed.

Dabs
Who gonna eat all the food
It was tasty for my parents they said not for me ;-;
we have a icecream looking like the fish cookie in the end
As a proper Asian child, this is very true we get so much for packed lunches especially if it was made by grandma.
What’s a “proper Asian child” lol?!
And i in usa
Because my grandma is in china
Not me
Same
I remember the dark time when i only had rice in my lunch box because my grandmother forgot to put in the chicken stew. I was so desperate to partner something with my rice that i asked for my friend's cheese popcorn. It tasted okay.
@krekeny boi hey, i won't judge. Everything goes when you're hungry.
POPCORNS??? LMAO, but ngl i ate ramen noodles with salt one time because i accidently threw the seasonings
I swear this is so damn accurate. In school my parents packed a full course meal for me and even put a waffle maker with waffles in there so I could make them if I wanted to.
This "we have 15 minutes for lunch" make me laugh way harder then it should be 😅😂
“WE HAVE 15 MINUTES FOR LUNCH!”
The most relatable thing I’ve heard in a while.
My school literally gave us 2 hours for lunch. Everyone would just sit and talk for an hour. But there was this one table that made their own lunch and even prepared the entire table with a cloth and decorations. It was insane.
Bruuhh where is your school
i get 1 hour
What kind of school did you got to?
We just bought lunch then decorated it with our shit (carefully put our books in a stack, organize our food, etc) then we took it off after eating.
@Daniel Fournier noob. We got 1min break when I was in school
This also applies to the office . Where all my fellow colleagues come with their plain old sandwiches with cheese ( like how in hell can you eat this every day), I would come with some leftovers from the day before and I would always get the strangest looks.
During a whole day of work, you should threat yourself to some good food to continue the grind, and not to pain yourself.
When he pulled out the chicken I was like “who’s laughing now eh?”😂
The accuracy is on-spot 😂 I remember bringing lunch to school and my bag would be larger than most of the other students, like 75% of my bag has become part of my bag and weight while the other rest of the 25% were my books and my pencil box, colour box, feltip pens/ platicnums ( if that's what you call them). My 75% contains, my water bottle, a bottle for juice, rice- a whole box, some curry, vegetables, fish, shredded chicken, soup in a different container, sausages and some sauce packets... and that day I remembered other students looking at me like: 😐... It felt so awkward that from that they on i asked my mom to make me small portions for lunch. So this is what she did, she gave me two lunch boxes to take to school, but there was no difference except for the dishes made, the portion was the same, the only thing which was different was the fact that the portion was divided into 2... i did tell her to reduce the portion and yh she did it, but the way i asked her to... #FML🥲
this is so accurate 🤣 i get a full course meal with my lunch and im always wondering how the hell everyone sustains themselves off of a ham sandwich alone
And I'm Asian but I just lost interest in a lot of food.
I would have a lot of one thing. So it would be like 2-3 sandwiches.
Steven is a genius. he just found a way to profit from every Asian stereotype ever.
@Kai do not underestimate a man whose father was 25 at 9.
@eedd sdsd I mean, I'm a white liberal, but I make jokes about myself all the time. lol Humour helps m cope with the crushing reality of life. Humour is good for the soul and I recommend it for those who need a way to cope that isn't as unhealthy as other coping mechanisms out there.
@Travis N What about the one about Scottish people drinking Irn Bru like water? I'm not Scottish, but I found that on pretty funny.
@Lamp exactly as an Asian myself it’s true
"WHAT IN THE CINNAMON TOAST F**K" is now probably going to be one of my favorite phrases. 😄
I’m south Asian and this doesn’t happen to me but this is damn right when it comes to my Indonesian friend- she has like fresh meat and rice and soup everyday and it looks delicious!
As an Asian, this is very true and accurate, including the fact that my lunch is literally what I had for dinner
This is wholesome. I expected a different take. Kids teasing you for food that they are unfamiliar with. Different flavors and smells, embarrassed to open your lunch in front of friends. My wife told me stories of being humiliated at school due to being the only Asian there and begging her parents for a more normal lunch. Hopefully we continue to progress and be more accepting. This is so great :)
That bag is proof that Steven’s dad existed before physics was invented.
I stuffed my lunch in my bag both ways.
Hermione from Harry Potter’s bag or the Jetson’s future bag.
That bag is a relic of the HE clan
It's the infinity bag he presented on shark tank lol.
I think this is a classic. Also......yes
Gotta love how asian parents show their love through food, yes. Left overs are still love from parents coz it's actual food.
Low-key I've had a bento lunch box before and it amazes me how much you're able to cram into those things AND still make it look neat and tidy.
Same!
I remember my classmate/ best friend brought a pineapple to school and i thought it was so weird but then I ate something for science. I had prawn cocktail crisps with my sandwich. and 10 fish fingers along with 5 cheese sandwiches.
I went to a friend’s house and all they had was franks and beans. Nope. I told my mom -NEVER AGAIN! 😂. She knew it would stop me from going to anyone else’s home. 😆
😂😂😂 can’t stop laughing
Steven’s dad:
We didn’t have boxsu in my day, we were too busy walking to school fighting tigers. I don’t eat - I absorb the tears of our relatives for all they cry for you being a failure.
EMOTIONAL DAMAGE
So good 😂
😆 🤣 😂
@kacperkrakowski back in my day, I had to invent new food every day
This is SO true 💀 Me and my Asian friend pack these things everyday lmao
His reaction to the food inside the box reminds us of our mother's opening their gifts
Whenever I order school lunch my mom always used to pack like that. With all the big amounts of foods, neatly packed in a container box with different sections, Korean style, and I always used to be like the only one packing lunch like that, since I was always the only Korean in whenever school I go to, so everybody would just come to me and say "Where'd you get that" or "How did you do that"
Wow what an amazing snack! Oh wait! This is a lunch!? I could eat all that in 8.25 minutes😊
As a Asian.. I can relate very well
*pulling out a whole rice cooker*
This, as an asian, I agree. Mom would scold me for eating burgers and sandwich for lunch saying it's not a "real lunch", and then proceed to make me a 3 course meal everyday to eat at school.
thats true lol back when im in highscool one of my classmates brought rice cooker and we all share it during lunch with canned tuna lolol its so fun
There is a lunch box rice cooker. Just plug in to reheat your food. It looks cute but I didn't buy it coz I opted for a multipurpose rice cooker- cooks rice & stew, steams my dumplings and custard at the same time while I watch YT.
An
Fuiyoh rice cooker
“wE hAvE fIFfTeEn MiNuTeS fOr LuNcH!!!”
Solid 30 seconds of laughing with no sound whatsoever! I couldn’t breathe!!!🤣🤣🤣
One of the funniest part is the part where he actually nails the western laughing style xD
If you can make people smile and laugh through the paid advertisement- you’ve done well!
I know it doesn’t compare to the jokes you make about your dad though 😅
When it was still face to face classes, my mom would always pack me a whole meal for lunch. However, the dish in my meal is always the same which is pork chop so i would always get excited if it was an another dish instead.
If you bring boba to school your popularity goes through the roof
Unless jealousy triggers bullying. Best to send multiple bobas, so the kid can share and buy popularity with boba.
Ik what I’m doing today
@Steven He This Video Is So Funny That Make Me Like LMAO
All I have to do is bring a bag of chips, some candy and everyone starts racing at me when the teacher ain’t looking
Yes I wil brign boba an gum to skool everuday
I always love how you do these skits also your dad say: you a failure lol
While my mom packs me store bought stuff, ever since my grandpa came, I call my grandpa to cook my lunch so I have a freshly prepared lunch every day
As Indonesian, very accurate video. I used to bring 4 seperate containers 1 with rice, 1 with meat/protein, 1 with vegetables/soup, and another or dessert. All my friend in the class crowded up and asked me for some, especially the dessert.
I get 1 and a half hour to eat so I can easily finish my meal
I can relate to this on a spiritual level, like whenever I bought out my lunch in middle school these girls would look at me with disgusted faces and it would be so embarrassing, mind you it wasn't even Asian food. It was the leftover macaroni from pizza hut.
Yeah, as an Asian person, if you brought Asian noodles, kids would say you're eating worms. If you brought chicken meat, they'd ask if you're eating cat meat. If you bring in natto, they'd ask if you're eating spiders and make fun of you as if you're homeless...
Kid 1: “WE HAVE 15 MINUTES FOR LUNCH!”
Asian Kids: “I can finish in five.”
"My dad made me invent a time machine by the time I entered preschool. It doubles as a rice cooker. I have all the time in the world."
Super true
That seems relatable-
@Zarael Crocs what a failure I can eat a mountain, cook a plane, start a business, travel 10010382 universes and fight 5 lions in 5 minutes
/j
5 seconds
I love the change in his mood when he pulls out the chicken.
Funny as it is, I’m grateful that my mom packs me really good lunch during school days
I'm getting flashbacks of times when people would get surprised to see the size of my lunch bag lol
I knew a Viet friend who used to work as construction site, every lunch he would make fresh steak and steam rice with greens Just plug it in and he would have complete hot lunch in 10 minutes or less. His friends would be so envious and salivated with sizzling steaks LOL. His friends brought sandwiches while he had 5 stars lunches and washed it down with green hot tea too LOL
"I've never tasted something that tasted adorable. Because adorable is not a taste"
-Motivation for Beijing Corn workers to get good
Steven after inheriting Beijing Corn: *gets his dad's accent* "Why you not make the new 'pleasant and sunny disposition' flavor we talked about? Back when I was in school, I tasted the flavor of Adorable, and that was a CHEAP SNACK FROM BOKKSU! This tastes like Failure."
Viva la Beijing corn 🌽
lmao get good lol
😂
Daymn
Good times. I'm Asian but had to bum fries with blue cheese off of friends, acquaintances and let's face it, even strangers because my parents "forgot" to pack a lunch or even give me lunch money. And Yes I'm Steven's dad's age.
Thank You to all mothers (and fathers) who makes home cook food for us everyday.
Rain or shine, in sickness and health. Best, best food & love.
As an Asian (Thai), my mom used to pack my lunch that I can live with it for days.
Dude, I swear the best thing I learned during the pandemic was how to make Bento. I am always excited for the lunch break, actually feel well nutricient for the rest of the work day and everyone is always jealous of me and thinks I have my sh*t together.
Its funny since this is pretty much how I grew up in the west after leaving Korea.
People saying my food smells weird and laughing, then going dead silent when I bring out a thermos of soup, a bottle of tea, three dosirak (bento) and a tub of rice.
Funny how it was embarrassing in elementary school, but I ended up missing it when I grew up and we didn't have time to make lunches anymore. Now I'm unashamed of whatever I bring to work, though I will always feel bad about some of the smells lol
yeah no same
@V1SHNU_V1PER 👍🏻🙏
@bastet sekhmet thanks for clearing that up, I was still unsure about the topic. Again, thank you for that
This is so true, I once looked at my friend chewing down on a bread nutella + a banana and some snickers and he at me and my bento box with a section for rice, chicken wing with soy sauce, some lettuce with mayonaise and a coke.
And then there’s the other times I bring out my seafood fried rice and everyone nearby died.
The way he laughs made me smile
I do agree with that cause back then when my mom or dad packs my lunch I already got a viand inside the lunchbox with rice and another lunch box for a viand with soup 🍲
Steven easily makes the best sponsored ads ever 😂
The look on the kids face when he realised that all he had was a sandwich 🥪 😂 😆
Rethought his Life Hahahahahahahaha.
@BE Smoothlikebutter 😂
why is ' *relatable damage* ' not a thing??😂💀
I’d be perfectly happy with a tuna sandwich and a fruit for a packed lunch. I packed my lunch much of the time too.
1:30 was too much that i felt like i would die from laughter lol
Kudos to him walking so carefully that nothing spilled and that bag is just amazing for having that much space. Girls need that bag.

When he broke out the frying pan I was done! 🤣
I actually done this in highschool: I prepare the fired rice or noodle, someone prepares vegs, someone prepares meat, someone brings soup, and we share at lunch. Every lunch was like a banquet to us, it was just amazing.
Now I know what I’m doing next year
😂😂
ughhh sounds amazingg to bad i only have one friend LMAO
@Eric Tang it did
My friend actually brought boba to school once this was amazing
This is so relatable. I have an Asian friend that always gets insane lunch.
From a child to work, im still bringing packed lunch made by mom. And its always a full course meal.
The realization that all he had was a sandwich 🥪 and the kid was pulling out the refrigerator and kitchen out of his backpack🤣🤣🤣🤣
Once I was old enough to understood the lengths my parents would go to ensure I had a hot lunch everyday, I'm was very appreciative. Parents who wake up at 5 AM every day just to make their kids a full breakfast and lunch for school is a great example of a labor of love.
@Cianna Perez What?
First grade? Seriously?
what is I'm was.
@SID05uk what food and water?
Wait you lost me at parents caring about us-
I just eat whatever food our family ate the night before
yes as an asian I can proudly guarantee you that every school lunch in my life was this
Steven he is the best and he makes me laugh every time
The happiness in his eyes knowing he is finally sponsoring 😭❤️
i sit next to my friends at lunch and we'd talk about food and steven he all the time. me and this one friend would flex our food at each other ever since my dad learned that a thermos is better than an old broken food container
As an Indian Asian I can 100% confirm this and he’s not exaggerating because I used to carry a 3course meal to school plus snacks🤠
YE SAME
@robloxian92 playz I would but I have passed my school and clg basically graduated soo can’t hehe
@DSJ That’s not necessarily a mistake. Most places consider Indians a different thing from Asians because when people say Asian, they’re usually referring to East Asians
im also indian

You're reaction to unboxing the snacks was the best!
This is so fucking relatable I swear. I mean the whole turkey may have been too far but very well executed and very relatable as an Asian (I’m Korean if you are wondering)
He just stabbed that tea with such confidence, and I wanna think he did it first try :p
That vicious **stab** into the bubble tea looked like it hit Steven's friends with emotional damage
@Dylan lol
@Avocado thank you brother for trying.but just not interested.but thanks 🙏
@camels have three eyelids it's just that memorable
Very effective
I'm laughing so hard my guts hurt 😂😭💀
This is SO accurate except when I don't finish my lunch my mom gets mad at me and...lol
“WHAT IN THE AVACADO FRICK” got me laughing so hard😂😂😂😂😂
honestly its better than getting the same food everyday tbh, i love he variety amd amount my mum packs. Better than a sandwich
“WHAT IN THE CINNAMON TOAST FUCK”
That’s my new expression
Holy moomoo milk 2K likes wtf
@Luka Plavevski why it doesn't even make sense? And it's not using a slogan either
Mine is what in the ikea olive fuck
@Rc/Lego HD original, just not funny
“HOW IN THE AVOCADO FRICK”
As someone who works in many classrooms I can say this is very true for the lower grade asian kids. When they get older it seems to me they just wait to eat at home.
You get an A for accurate.
I sit with my chinese friend everyday for lunch time. He always has good lunch. He pulls out 2 burgers, fried chips, soda, fried chicken, dumplings and He brings chopsticks nearly every time.
He literally brings food like this everyday, obviously not all at once. But everyday, he has something along the lines of what I listed.
After analyzing this video for several hours I can finally confirm that this video is indeed uploaded by Steven
as a chinese student, it's so true
my mom always give me a whole pot of rice
Growing up Chinese in Canada, this is so accurate. My lunch isn’t even too fancy every day, and over half the class asked me for food on a constant basis until I was around Grade 4. A spoonful of rice would literally satisfy them.
I don’t know…maybe my parents just makes really good food.
I live in Canada and people all ways ask for my food in school
@who is John Galt It's not love thou;) It's just soy sauce, oyster sauce and chicken
@Jonquil Gemstone trolls are annoying... I still don't know why they exist
@ohdaUtube Also growing up in the US, the kids who poked fun at the warm lunches were usually jealous. Also, if you're simply kind and not phased by the mocking, bullies usually kept trying until the summer break and then forgot about trying to get under your skin the next year.
As a Hispanic, I pitied the kids who were totally unused to being fed cooked food from their parents...A lot even had to pack their own lunches. It wasn't even just a few.
There's just something about food from parents, even if it's something simple.
I was always jealous of some of the meals brought by other kids in school. They always had the lunchables I wanted. They always had good food.
My parents, being well off in terms of money, never bought me what I wanted for lunch, and my dad would always, everyday, pack me a tunafish sandwich and a caprisun. They did this until highschool and they wondered why I got bullied, had no friends, and chose to sat at my table everyday and not eat.
I binged like hell tho when I got home, so I was never skinny, just unhealthy from all the garbage that was forced on me. The school cafeteria sucked 100% of the time and all the stuff they would buy in was too expensive for me to afford on my NOTHING ALLOWANCE.
Take notes, parents. This is "How to make your child absolutely hate you 101"
Bokksu would be nice for a special 0ccassion type thing, but as a monthly subscription, it's way too expensive. That small box costs as much as a week's worth of groceries
I think watching this video made me realized I never brought lunches from middle school to high school because of the remarks and bullying I received. Funny vid though.
My mom would pack it LIKE THIS. She used to give me a full meal. Until she decided to give me egg and bread. Had egg and bread for like 1 month. I liked it but I missed the full meal.
"We have 15 minutes for lunch" I almost died of laughter 😅 😂 🤣 😆
I like how he's not questioning him drinking wine in school but whether he will have enough time lol
@Peter Arnaldo I agree lol
@NeticOnYT ⸜⁄ LOL I get that reference, I actually snorted in laughter when I read that! The "How Asian Parents Flex" series is HILARIOUS, like "Stevan, FLY" (makes upward hand gesture)! 🤣🤣
forget all of that remember he can cook minute rice in 58 seconds
At my school we only get like 5 minutes because the lunch never gets there in time and the line is super long
Littraly so true my mom used to give me a whole lunch worth of 5 puri and aloo for 12 am and I used to have lunch at 3 after returning
That feeling, when your mom was busy at work, and you was to lazy to make lunch yourself, and you mom did not give you money, because you would spend them at the local computer games club instead of lunch. But then you find someone's half-bitten cheap sandwich on the windowsill, and that was f*cking tasty!
WE HAVE 15 MINUTES FOR LUNCH got me laughing so hard
This was the first video I watched from this channel!! Keep up the great work!!
All jokes aside, Asian food is seriously the best.
Chinese fried rice is one of my favs
@Salma Al-Suker o:
@Kokomi I don't have a rice cooker and literally my whole family knows how to cook rice except me
Btw I'm not Asian
@Vincenzo Dangelo just by your name I can guess youre Italian,it's yiur choice anyway
Nah italian food is the best
That American laugh gets me every time.
Excuse me as a Vietnamese person fish sauce is legendary, I always need it with rice also I can relate to the infinite space
He actually looks cute when he’s acting to cry 😢 ☺️
You sure can pull some funny faces! Luv yr vids💚
Stevens Dad: Back in my days, we had to catch the chicken on our way to school while fighting two lions!
it's always the same two lions
And we had the chicken for lunch.
Back in my day, I had to fight cheetahs, lions, and tigers on my way to school, while chasing an ant.
YESSS man of culture I see
My grandma packed 5 different boxes and put it in my bag and told me to share it with my friends and girl friend even though I don't have one 😅
This guy is the hands down funniest i have ever seen. He NEEDS a stage show in NYC. NOW!
So damn true, my mom always packs fire lunches
